I am a “late bloomer” who began painting in 2005. I enjoyed working in acrylic and oil, and I have been a pastel painter and member of the Cape Ann group Making Our Mark for 6 years. I loved creating this series, finding the storytelling to be integral. I hope you will find this work compelling and the narrative amusing!

My first series, Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Beautiful, champions wildlife as a metaphor for powerful women. Each painting depicts a familiar animal personified to represent a woman in command, at the top of her game. This series celebrates the beauty of nature, the importance of cohabitating with all creatures and the extraordinary heroes among us.
